This afternoon, Elizabeth turns one week old. It's hard to put into words how our hearts have changed this week, how much they have grown to let this very small person inside. Our wedding bands fit like bangles on her wrist, but she has become the primary force for our little family. The love that Simon and I have for each other has grown exponentially since she came into our lives last Friday.
Our primary goal this week is that her lungs strengthen enough so that we can take her off of the ventilator. I pray for this at least every 10 minutes, but would appreciate any additional prayers that I can get.

A Guardian Angel Prayer for Lizzy...
O Angels of God, from heaven so bright,
watching beside my children to lead them aright;
Fold your wings round them,
and guard them with love;
Softly sing songs to them of heaven above.
What an adorable photo. She is always in my prayers as well as you and Simon.
She looks like a fighter. Hang in there it's s bit if a roller coaster ride for awhile. Celebrate the small wins
She is so lovely. Thinking of you all.
What an incredible picture of such an incredible young lady!!! Love from England!!!!!
Showed my Jayden this picture, then took off my own wedding ring so he could get an idea of what he was seeing in the picture. Then he asked to pray for Lizzie, so we prayed for her lungs to mature and for her to grow and strengthen. His comment: "She is SO SO CUTE! I love little babies!"
praying ever time you guys pop into my mind, which is often.
you are all in my prayers. what a gorgeous girl you have.
Thinking of you and your little one Meghann. She is absolutely precious.
Happy Birthday Lizzy!!! We are keeping her in our prayers.
Happy one week Birthday little Lizzy.
One week! Wow. Looking back that's going to seem like nothing when a year is gone in the blink of an eye. I'm so happy that you're sharing your story. It's really inspirational, and reminds me the petty parts of my life are insignificant to what is really going on in this world.
