American Crafts Guest Designer!

If you're looking for an update on Elizabeth, please scroll down to the next post.

It has been a busy few weeks for me, so I wasn't prepared here on my blog when my picture showed up on the American Crafts blog on Wednesday! American Crafts blog.jpg
When Paige Evans emailed me a few months ago asking me to create projects with the theme of 'use it up', mixing and matching several different collections, I was over the moon. Then when my box of goodies showed up, I was ecstatic. Here are the layouts that I created.

Fairy Princess blog

This layout is my favorite that I created. It records my god daughter's birthday party. I loved these photos of her and the 5th & Frolic mixed with the valentine XOXO collection worked perfectly together!

Life With You blog

This layout records us at the paralympics in London in August. I love the colors going on in this layout!  On this one, I mixed 5th & Frolic and Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go. The 'adventure' part of my title was cut with my Silhouette and backed with woodgrain paper.

Regent's Park blog

Green floral paper + woodgrain= LOVE! On this layout, I used a lot of Soho Garden, mixed with both 5th & Frolic and Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go.

To see the other projects I created, which include mini Valentines cards & a printer's tray, go to the American Crafts blog here.

Thanks for stopping by! Do you feel confident about mixing different collections? What do you find to be the hardest part?

Meghann, each of these layouts are beautiful. I feel inspired to get gong with Dillon's scrapbook. I have been so lazy with it. How exciting to see you as a guest designer. Your work is worthy of this.

I rarely mix different collections. I have a block in my head that they won't work. I must try to get over this and see a way of blending them. xx

Wow, your layouts are amazing! I too love the first layout the most. The colours are so spring-like, which is what I'm in need of.
